I Heart Cozumel, Mexico

Updated: Sep 24, 2018

I have been to Mexico a few times, it is one of those places that is budget friendly, has a local vibe, spectacular beaches, not to mention amazing culture; all of this wrapped in one package.

Again, I started my vision board because I wanted to picture what this vacation would look like (check out my Bermuda post, if you haven't already, for my vision board reference). Jay and I love food, beaches, culture, and relaxing. So, with that in mind, I mapped out the tour companies we would use, how much it would cost, and of course plan in free days where we could be spontaneous.

The island is very laid back, so if you have relaxing in mind then I suggest you do a few days here. You will not get much of a night life, and in my opinion, you will not get a variety in terms of food options, again this is my opinion. Below I have pulled together a few snapshots and videos of the things we did while there.

Ferry ride to Playa Del Carmen from Cozumel, the entertainment was great!

Our Hotel (we used my mom's timeshare) - El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel

Mr. Sancho's Beach Club - Great beach, activities and food!

Reef Tour - We snorkeled Starfish Bay and the second largest coral reef in the world.

Tulum Maya Ruins and Xel-ha Tour - This was definitely the highlight of our vacation!

Want to experience Xel-ha for yourself with a discount? Click here

Good Eats - Paprika Mexican & Caribbean Cuisine and a little place in downtown Cozumel (sorry don't remember the name)

Have any questions please feel free to reach out to me and THANK YOU for stopping by!

XOXO,

KJ
